What is the Brushless Motor?
A brushless motor is as same as a brushed motor the only difference is that it takes a different approach to generate a changing magnetic field. Less maintenance:
Brushed motor are worn out more easily as compared to the brushless motor. They often require dismantling and parts replacement. As the brushes of the commutator are constantly in contact with the terminals of the power source even as the commutator rotates rapidly. But when the brushes become torn out and are no longer able to maintain a contact, the brushed motor becomes useless.

More efficient:
As the brushes of the brushed motor are constantly in contact so most of the energy is lost in the form of heat produced due to friction. This causes the efficiency of the brushed motor to be around 75 to 80 percent.
On the other hand the brushless motor are more efficient because no energy is lost as heat. There is still some energy loss due to air friction but even that is to the minimal causing its efficiency to be around 90 percent. Most of the noise that is generated by the brushed motors is due to the friction between the brushes and the terminals of the power supply. Even though lubricants can be used to reduce the noise but still it is unavoidable.
