Early life:
on April 1, 1973, Rachel Maddow was born, in Castro Valley, California, to an attorney, her father named as ‘Robert’, was an attorney by profession, and her mother ‘Elaine’, was a school administrator. Maddow was interested in journalism from an early age. When She was seven years old, she started reading the newspaper with great concentration. at Castro Valley High School Maddow participated in the teams of swimming, volleyball and basketball teams, when she was teen ages.
But due to shoulder injury, she stopped the sports. Maddow voluntarily devoted to a local AIDS clinic, but she did not tell her parents. Maddow was graduated from Stanford University in 1994. she moved to San Francisco After graduation and for the AIDS organization ACT UP, she became an activist. Radio career:
Maddow, in 1999, offered a job on WRNX Radio’s Dave in the Morning Show as co-host. She dropped the job after some duration. She joined next job of WARSI’s morning show Big Breakfast as host. Air America, that was a newly founded liberal radio network, she gave audition for that in 2004, and she was appointed as a co-host till the cancellation of the show in 2005. During the 2006 midterm elections, she was also a repeated guest on CNN’s Paula Zahn Now. As the station’s political analyst, in January 2008, Maddow signed an exclusive contract with MSNBC.
