Best virtual reality and 3D glasses
The word virtual reality means the reality that is virtual. The word virtual reality is the combination of two words ‘Virtual’ & ‘Reality’ these two words combining give the meaning which is ‘Near to Reality’. Image or video scene we see via VR devices is not real but close to real. Actually, virtual reality is a computer-generated simulation of 3D images or environments that give a person a virtual physical environment by using some electronic machines and equipment like 3D helmet, gloves glasses & 3d headset, etc.
Virtual reality (VR) is a simulation experience that can be used for gaming, education and training purposes. Now a day, the virtual reality system used a virtual reality headset known as a head-mounted device or multi-projected environment to generate a 3D view. Virtual reality and 3D glasses enable a person who sees the virtual world with virtual reality headsets to move and interact with virtual reality objects.
The word virtual reality is used in computer terms which means a software-generated environment that has no physical existence. It was first used in 1959. We often read and listen in schools that a human has five senses that are follow
- Sense of touch
- Sense of smell
- Sense of taste
- Sense of sight
- Sense of touch
As we read about and listen about these five senses but if we go in-depth then we realize that humanity has much more sense like the sense of walk sense of balance etc. Actually all the human activities are based on human sense the only difference is these five are primary sensory organs while others are secondary organs. Everything we know about reality is that it comes from our senses.
Virtual Reality in Technical Term
What is virtual reality? In technical term answer to this question is very simple. Virtual reality is defining as the computer-generated simulations. In the virtual reality system, VR devices capture to views of an image i.e. left eye view and right-eye view. These two images are merged into one 3D image and thus we can see a 3D object via VR devices.
How to Obtain Virtual Reality
As mentioned above that virtual reality is a computer-generated simulation and it is obtained by VR devices. To enter in VR world, we used VR glasses and other VR devices that show the Virtual world by capturing left and right eye view and merge them. To move and interact with 3D objects in the virtual world 3D gloves are used which have some sensors that can help us to move objects. Like the virtual world, the moment objects are also virtual. The virtual headset also used in the virtual world to listen to 3D voices and sound effects.
Basic purpose of VR is simulating the vision. Every headset in the virtual reality aims to create an immersive 3D environment. In each VR headset each eyes have a screen in front of them so to disconnect with the real world. Two auto focus lenses are placed between eye and screen to capture moment of each eye. Thus the vision on the screen appeared by using mobile Phone or HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface is a connector or cable that transmit high quality high bandwidth of streams of audio and video between multiple devices) cable connected with pc.
To obtained a perfect virtual reality frame rate of minimum 60fs and minimum refresh rate 100-degree field of view (FOV) (180 degrees ideal). Frame rate is the rate at which GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) process each image in per second. If VR does not work with this standard, then user will experience latency (time delay) between their actions and view at screen. To achieve a virtual Reality, we need time delay of 20 milliseconds to cheat human brain with the factors mentioned above in the right proportion.
Screen Tearing (cybersickness)is an issue here that can generate inconsistency between fame rate and refresh rate. In this case GPU’s of frame per second can increase from refresh rate due to which image can be distorted. To tackle this issue, we generally reduce frame rate of monitor then refresh rate by using a tech know as Vertical Sync.
- Vertical Sync
Virtual Sync, known as Vsync is a display option that is usually found in three-dimension (3D) computers. It allows users to match or keep frame rate less than the monitors refresh rate for better performance and stability. Vsync was developed by GPU manufacturers to deal with screen tearing.
The screen tearing occurs when two different images crash into each other and result, fps become greater than the screen refresh rate.
